It adds an air of elegance hard to find with other materials. White grout is a risk in bathrooms though as everyone mentions. I went with tec standard white grout and it came out very yellow or antique white against the tile. Just note that darker colors may fade due to direct sunlight.

The light gray is also a fine choice but keep in mind that it will darken and maybe not match the tile color quite as well over time. Marble tile is reminiscent of old world charm bringing together the timeless color scheme of white and gray swirled together to create a beautiful blend of simplicity. However if hiding dirt is a concern then go with a darker colored grout with a lighter tile. I only wish the color was more white and not so gray. Testing grout colors. Especially when looking at it in the daylight. For anyone checking back on this i am having a new house built and had a carrara marble 3x6 subway tile backsplash put in the kitchen with absolute black granite. I mostly have white grout in bathroom and in kitchen backsplash and it really is a pain to clean i wish i would have went a very very light gray or even if white looks better.

Adding gray grout to a simple white subway tile emphasizes the layout of the wall tile and gives it a contemporary feel.
